Ajutati-o pe Calin Leontina Nicoleta sa vada

Mă numesc Călin Mariana Violeta şi am o fetiţă pe nume Călin Leontina Nicoleta de 7 ani, care s-a născut prematur la 7 luni cu grave deficienţe de vedere.

Când fetiţa a împlinit 6 luni am văzut că ceva nu este în regulă cu ea. I-am făcut primul control la spitalul din Craiova, diagnosticul fiind pus prima dată la acest spital. Mi s-a spus că are dezlipire de retină - retinopatie de prematuritate gradul V (cinci). Aici nu ne-au dat nici o speranţă de vindecare, au spus să mergem cu ea mai departe la alt spital. Pe 26 iulie 2004 am mers cu ea la Bucureşti, la Dl doctor Florin Baltă unde acesta ne-a dat încrederea să luptăm, că fetiţa noastră are şanse de vindecare. Ne-a confirmat diagnosticul aflat de la spitalul din Craiova şi ne-a spus că singura şansă să poată vedea este o operaţie care se poate face în Belgia.

Suma cerută de medicii de la acea clinică era de 6000 Euro. Dumnezeu ne-a ajutat şi am strâns acea sumă cu ajutorul unor oameni cu suflet. Am mers cu fetiţa şi am operat-o, după operaţie mergeam la control cum ne-au cerut doctorii din Belgia la spitalul de oftalmologie din Bucureşti. A mers bine controlul un an şi câteva luni, la ultimul control care i-a fost făcut ne-au spus că nu i s-a lipit în totalitate reţină şi că nu şi-a recăpătat vederea.

Am întrebat ce se mai poate face pentru ea şi ne-au spus că în Belgia nu se mai poate face nimic. Am decis să încercăm şi în altă parte şi am aflat că această operaţie de care are mare nevoie se poate face la o clinică din America. Am trimis actele şi am luat legătura cu Dr. William Beautmont din Detroit, ne-a confirmat că operaţia se poate face şi costul operaţiei la ambii ochi fiind de peste 30.000 Dolari. Orice am face este cu mult peste puterile noastre, încercăm, trăim cu această speranţă şi încredere în bunul Dumnezeu pentru fetiţa noastră, care este şi singurul copil pe care îl avem.

Am mers şi am bătut la toate uşile, am dat anunţuri umanitare în presă, la diferite emisiuni, la nenumărate fundaţii dar nu a fost de-ajuns. Poate cu ajutorul dumneavoastră putem strânge măcar jumătate din sumă ca să poate vedea şi ea măcar cu un ochişor pentru că îşi doreşte foarte mult să îşi poată vedea părinţii. În prezent ea studiază în clasa I la Liceul de Deficienţe de Vedere din Buzău. Zilele trecute Leontina a terminat clasa 1 fiind şi premianta, am fost foarte mândrii de ea pentru că ne-a adus acasă o colecţie frumoasă de diplome.

Timpul petrecut departe de noi a afectat-o foarte mult şi de fiecare dată când vorbeam cu ea la telefon plângea şi ne întreba de ce trebuie să fie aşa departe de noi. Sperăm că în curând să reuşim s-o operăm şi să putem să o avem aproape de noi.

My name is Calin Mariana Violeta and I have a daughter Calin Leontina Nicoleta which is 7 years old and which was born prematurely at 7 months with severe visual impairment.

When she was 6 months old I saw that something was not wright with her. I made the first control to the hospital in Craiova and the diagnosis was first establish here. They told us that she is having retinal detachment - retinopathy of prematurity degree V (five). Here they didn’t give us any chance of healing, they only said we have to go on to other hospitals.

On 26 july 2004 we went with her to Bucharest to Dr. Florin Balta where he give us the reasons and the trust to continue fighting, our little girl is having healing chances. He confirm the diagnosis established in Craiova’s hospital and he told us that the only chance to see is to make a surgery that can be made in Belgium. The money needed for this intervention was 6000 Euro. God help us and we gather this amount of money with the help of people with hart. We went with the little girl and we made the surgery, after the surgery we made periodically controls as the doctors required to the ophthalmology hospital from Bucharest.

The results were optimistic more than one year, but at the last control they told us that the retina was not pasted totally and she didn’t gain the vision. We ask what is to do now and they told us that in Belgium there is nothing to be done any more. We decide to try also in other places and we found that this surgery that Leontina is needing can be made in one clinic in America. We send all the documentation and we spoke with Dr.William Beautmont from Detroit, he confirmed that the surgery can be made and the cost of the intervention for both eyes is more than 30.000 U.S. Dollars.

No matter what we make, to gain this amount of money is way beyond our powers, we try and we live with this hope and trust in God for our little girl, which is also the only child that we have. We went and try in a lot of places, we ask for help in newspapers and media, foundations but is not enough. Maybe with your help we can gather at least half of the money in order to make possible for her to see at least with one eye because she is wants very much to see her parents. Actually she is finishing in the first grade at the “school for visually impaired” from Buzau.

In the past days Leontina finished the first grade also with god results, we were very proud of her because she brought home a beautiful collection of degrees. The time spend away from us affected her very much and each time when we spoke with her on the phone she was crying and asking why she has to be so far away from us. We hope that soon we will succeed to make the surgery and to have her close to us.
